Cellarium intelligent biopolymer devices can be implanted without cells and programmed to attract specific cell populations in the body (e.g. dendritic cells). Or can be loaded with cells in therapeutic applications where sufficient cells do not exist within the patient.
Once the device is placed in vivo and holding cells, clinically acceptable factors within the device, each with pre-programmed release kinetics, safely expand, mature or activate the cells within the device and, in the case of our melanoma vaccine, expose them to tumor lysate that targets the specific cancer cells.
The optimized cells are then directed to leave the Cellarium and integrate into the normal biology... alerting the immune system replacing damaged/diseased tissue or enhance healing. The result is a dramatic functional enhancement of body systems or tissue repair.
